I am an author who sells small quantities of my books at presentations to groups. Am I responsible for collecting and filing state and local sales taxes at each location in every state where I make in-person sales?

Try an outdoor experience. Divide your group into 3 teams and assign each team an area in which to build a shelter. Seaside and lake front locations are great. But rivers and woods are good, too. The groups should be within shouting distance of each another. Give them 3 daylight hours to complete their task. (This is team building, not survival training.) Give each team one tool that others do not have; for example, a knife, a small shovel, a rope, a first aid kit. You, as facilitator, will be in regular touch with the groups to monitor process. When time is up, gather all together for debrief with questions such as: What was it like? What did you learn? What implications for the office?

Turn on the camera! Taking a video of a team meeting can show clearly both individual behaviors and group dynamics. The role of the facilitator is key: tell everyone ahead of time what you are doing and why. Frame it as an opportunity to learn by observation. Ever had your golf swing or your ski run filmed? It's a powerful tool that can show what you are doing wrong and cut through hours of just talking. After each video session, allow time to watch the movie as a group and talk about what can be done differently to improve collaboration and productivity. Then erase the tape.
